In a statement, PM Modi said, 'I know that people like to travel abroad for their holidays but instead, can we think of visiting at least 15 of the best tourist destinations in India before the year 2022, when we will be marking 75 years of Independence."

PM Modi further said that if the Indians will be visiting the local destinations even if there is no proper infrastructure facility, but their visits will be helpful in boosting the tourism in India and eventually help in creating better facilities. Modi Ji also urged using local products as much as possible. There is a need to boost exports as we know that India has a lot to offer. "Let us manufacture and make local products attractive. More export hubs should emerge. Our guiding principle behind this is Zero Defect, Zero Effect," he said during his address to the nation.
